Why O2 All-Glass Buckets May “Wick”
O2VAPE O2 All-Glass Buckets are designed with a porous ceramic core wrapped in glass. This ceramic material is intentionally absorbent so it can properly saturate and vaporize oil.
Because of this design:
- The ceramic core naturally absorbs oil
- Oil can sometimes appear around the intake holes
- Minor “wicking” or slight seepage is normal and not a defect
- Temperature changes, altitude shifts, and thinner oils can increase visible wicking
This is a function of how ceramic atomizers work and does not indicate that the cartridge is damaged or malfunctioning.

O2 All-Glass Buckets – FAQ
The O2VAPE O2 All-Glass Bucket is a premium ceramic bucket atomizer featuring a glass housing and a porous ceramic core designed for optimal oil saturation and vapor production.
Unlike traditional cotton-wick cartridges, this system uses ceramic absorption technology to deliver consistent heating and clean flavor.
You may notice that some devices appear to have slightly less oil visible in the tank. This is normal and is due to wicking and natural viscosity differences between strains.
When a cartridge or disposable is filled, a portion of the oil absorbs into the internal ceramic coil and wicks the rosin. This saturation process is necessary for proper function and smooth vapor production, but it can make the visible oil level appear lower.
Additionally, each strain has a slightly different viscosity (thickness) based on its terpene profile and natural composition. Thinner oil may settle differently or absorb more quickly into the wick, while thicker oil may appear to sit higher in the tank. This variation is completely normal and does not indicate underfilling.
All devices are carefully filled to 0.50–0.55 grams by weight prior to assembly. Visual differences between units are expected, but the net fill weight remains consistent.
This is called wicking, and it is normal.

- High altitude shipping
- Thinner viscosity oils
- Overfilling beyond recommended capacity
- Extended horizontal storage
